Semi-retired now, Ned's extensive background included running bookstores, writing fiction and prose poetry, book editing, writing book reviews, and feature articles. He has studied creative writing in various educational settlings including community colleges, and 4-year academic settings including Harvard University. He keeps a Basic Manuscript Editing Certification from the University of Chicago. He has published two volumes of poetry, is included in 7 anthologies, and has individual works, both fiction and poetry, that has appeared in over 45 publications. His background includes having been Waldenbooks Corporate Publications Editor and the Book Review Editor for Chicago Life magazine, a 40 year established magazine included in the Chicago region subscription issues of the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times. He is currently working on 3 volumes of poetry and 2 novels. ##
